Back in 2012, we first visited a course at this location (239 96th St, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247) in Stone Harbor called Tee Time 2. We were quite new to the mini golf world, and little did I know that finding a the miniaturegolf/eternit course was incredibly rare in the US. In fact, there are no active European competitive minigolf (miniaturegolf, concrete, felt) courses in all of the US today.
Fast forward 10 years, and we popped back up on the rooftop to take a glance at the new mini golf course that replaced Tee Time 2, Harbor Golf Club Mini Golf. We were familiar with the course from our friends at O-Street Mini Golf, who made the video we shared below. It’s a small version of a conventional golf course with different colors and thicknesses of turf to mimic the rough and sandtraps. The golf cart and water feature were nice touches. We had prioritized playing a few other courses in the area, so we opted not to play it and just documented the course in the photos below. The $15 price tag and style of course also didn’t make it super appealing to either of us, but we had hoped to return to play at some point down the road.
Many years have passed, and this course became Hang Ten Mini Golf Club in the summer of 2024. They changed the theming, replaced the golf simulators, added a surf shop, and added treats. Based on the photos, it looks much more visually appealing to us, and we’ll hopefully get a chance to take it on in the future. For now, these are the photos from our visit.
