Our work on a mini golf project with the Rochester Art Center took us down to the city of Rochester several times in 2024 and 2025. A friend in the mini golf world had let us know about a new course opening in the area, and we were excited to see that there would be a permanent option set to open. Our first stop was on a chilly late October day to just see how it looked. We took photos of the course, and I left our business card because I saw the course had security cameras. I connected with the course owners who permitted me to play the course later in November, on the day I was traveling down there for the opening of the artist-designed course. The Pink Putter couldn’t make that trip, so we revisited the course when they were open to the public at large in April, and we enjoyed a nice round together, followed by some ice cream in the clubhouse and conversations with the owners.
Rating

The courses built by the Harris company are always solid. Their newer course builds, like the ones we’ve played at Salty Seagull and Rogue Eagle, use smoother bricks that make for better gameplay and give a sharper aesthetic to the course. The layout of the holes on the course includes a few shoot-throughs, jumps, rock obstacles, and water hazards. The snacks in the clubhouse, including ice cream, and the little area set up for cornhole, give it a nice cozy feel. I noticed on their website that they are hosting doubles leagues, and I love seeing courses enjoy the public in friendly competitions. This is the best option for mini golf in Rochester, Minnesota and definitely worth a stop if you’re through the area.
