The first course stop on my inaugural visit to the mini golf buffet that is Myrtle Beach was Jungle Safari. I arrived in town late the previous night and took my time starting off day 1 solo. Most of my mini golf pals were playing in the 2019 USMGPA Masters around town so I figured I’d scope out all the spots in the city with the highest density of miniature golf in the world. I drove less than 5 minutes from where I was lodging and bumped into Jungle Safari. The theme was obviously appealing, too, given The Pink Putter and I went to the Serengeti for our honeymoon. I didn’t have time to play a round but documented the course for a future visit. The turf is in great shape and I always appreciate some oversized animals accompanying to tie a theme together. Sadly, in January 2020 this course was vandalized but I’m hoping they’re able to bring these fun characters back to life soon.
