A History of Spring Lake Park Amusement / Sir Goony Golf – Part 7: South Executive Course

September 21, 2018

by Tom Loftus (aka Mr. Tee)

Our continuing voyage down memory lane glides through the three mini golf courses at Goony Golf of Spring Lake Park. On the most recent episode of this series, we visited a late addition to Goony Golf, The Championship Course. For Today, Mini Golf Day 2018, we highlight Executive Course 2, the course facing the window of the clubhouse on the south side of the property.

Massive characters and obstacles such as ghosts, a massive owl, The Mad Hatter, and other oddities take the ball on a wild journey. The photos below are from the final owner Pat’s archive from the 80s, 90s, and 00s. A full review of the course and Part 2 of this series contain additional photos to give you an additional sense of the change of colors and orientation of the course. The photos and scorecards tell the story of the course better than any additional words I could share.
