Earlier this year we had a daylong competition between friends/founders of the American Mini Golf Alliance (AMA) that spanned across San Marcos and San Antonio. After two rounds at Cool Crest and one round at the flukey and good-looking Pixar Putt, we all opted for dinner on the River Walk in San Antonio. Our crew of Pat & Mandy (of the Putting Penguin) and fellow northeasterners Highlighter (aka Mark Novicki) and Randy Rice grabbed drinks at the Thirsty Aztec Bar while we waited to get a seat. As we were getting our drinks, I saw signs for mini golf so I had to investigate. A sign boasted that you could play a round in 10 minutes and I know our whole group would have played had we not already been binging on quality courses all day and week. I opted to just snap some photos for posterity. It’s a solid, flat, and almost putt-putt-styled blacklight course with bright-colored wooden borders to each hole.
