Words by the Pink Putter

Back in January 2021, Mr. Tee and I, along with our Old English Sheepdog, Ruggles, took a road trip down to Texas to escape the Minnesota winter. At the end of our trip, on our drive back up to the cold north, we made a quick stop at Alley Cats Entertainment in Hurst, TX to check out their Putt-Putt courses. The complex was not open for the day when we stopped there so we didn’t get to play. However, we were able to get some photos from the other side of the fence.

On premise are two original Putt-Putt brand courses in seemingly good shape. While they don’t have the official Putt-Putt name, the course is listed in the list of official franchises. The course includes a cave and water features as well as fiberglass figures of elephants, sharks, giraffes, etc which are not common in this specific brand of courses. If it were open and we didn’t have Ruggles along with us, we would have definitely taken the time to play both courses, as there aren’t many fully operating Putt-Putt courses left.
