While taking a break from the sun as my footage of hole #18 of round 10 of the 2019 Masters was being captured, I opted to head indoors to play the newest course at Aloha mini golf with putting pals that were finished with their tournament play for the day.
Rating
The newest of the three 18-hole courses that comprise Aloha Mini Golf is the currently unnamed indoor course on the 2nd floor above the clubhouse. I believe this spot opened to the public in 2019 right around the time we visited. The turf floor has raised turf burms that create the mini golf lanes in this single room course. A number of the holes have added Hawaiian-themed flourishes to go along with the theme consistent across all the Detweiler courses in Myrtle Beach. A few of the structures on the holes are repurposed remnants from a European tournament mini golf styled Eternit course that was once located at Hawaiian Rumble (see video below our photos). One of the few indoor-only courses in the mecca of mini golf, this is a great option to escape the sun and/or rain. A great space to practice your putting skills with friends while at one of three courses that host the annual USPMGA Masters.
Example of a European Eternit style tournament course
Pros
Tropical theme matches up well with the other two courses
Rare European style eternit course in the US
Cons
All of the holes are relatively same-y
Less ambiance than the outdoors courses
