There’s a certain irony that the now defunct Liber-Tee Mini Golf course shares the same parking lot with the hotel where I had my Senior Prom in high school. Whenever I go back to visit the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania, I am flooded with memories from my youth and teens. And while I remember many a round at the nearby Putt U, I actually never even knew about or played Liber-Tee previous to our visit in its current defunct state.

While I can’t tell you the history of Liber-Tee, I can tell you that it was a classic Harris Miniature Golf Course without too many extra frills. In my opinion, its coolest feature was the large Mini Golf lit sign on the top of the clubhouse, meant to be seen from the highway. And I can also tell you that the course is currently inhabited by a large groundhog who we had a brief encounter with.

Cool light sign on the clubhouse roof that can be seen from the highway.
