Holey Moley Season 2, Episode 8 – Recap & Bigger Windmill Talk Show + Season 2 Competitors Marni & Erik

(ABC/Christopher Willard)

The bond between Holey Moley competitors is special. The high pressure putting in front of a wild audience preceded by lots of tent waiting time creates unique opportunities for people to get to know each other. The surprise and one of a kind opportunities to compete in a surreal setting can’t be replicated in the real world. Plus, how many people get to be on primetime national TV on a major network? It’s a wild and wonderful experience we’ll never forget.

As the season continues, we’ve been eager to talk with guests who have a mini golf and/or a Holey Moley story on We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Windmill. Our two guests Marni Van Grouw and Erik Gustafson not only faced off on the first episode of Holey Moley: The Sequel but their match was the debut episode finale on Frankenput for the highly coveted plaid jacket and golden putter. Their path to their head-to-head match up went through a treacherous journey of windmills, poles, fire, and porta johns. We brought them on to recap this season’s episode 8, “Under Paargh!” and to share their experiences. It was clear that both have a deep and endearing passion for the game of mini golf and had a blast playing that magical. course.
