My first trip to Sweden started with a day at the oldest and one of the best minigolf facilities in the world, Uppsala BGK. I had one day on my own in Stockholm before the CityGolf tournament activities would begin so I plotted out a day exploring the city and of course, lots of different mini golf courses. After visiting the ABBA museum and playing and documenting outdoor courses in Tantogården and Nacka Strand, the weather was chilly and rainy, so I opted to head out to play a few compelling indoor courses. The first on my list was the 12-hole course located inside Tele2 Arena.
Rating
After driving around town and quickly visiting the city center, it was nice to play a course that was themed around Stockholm landmarks. Fitting to the name of the facility, Tolv (12 in Swedish) Golf has 12 holes that were designed and built by the CityGolf company based in Sweden. The dominant features of these courses are compacted sand greens with rough turf berms serving as the borders of the holes. These courses require you to navigate the contoured greens to get to the cup and it was fun to the themed obstacles integrated into the gameplay. I visited during the midday during the middle of the week so it wasn’t busy but the seating and open spaces to hang out around the course are a lovely addition for when the course is busy. I had a blast at this course and other than a few of the obstacles being hard to navigate, my only complaint was that I wished it was a full 18 holes. The surrounding amenities make this a great indoor destination for fun and like every indoor course I visited in Stockholm, I had a blast and would gladly return to play again.
