PaintCare is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage households and businesses to take their unwanted and leftover paint to a PaintCare drop-off site for recycling.
To date PaintCare has…
- Collected 67.2 million gallons of paint
- Provided 8,755 large volume pickups
- Hosted 339 paint drop-off events
When PaintCare came to use earlier this year asking us to design three mini golf holes for a one day tent at the Minnesota State Fair, we were happy to jump on board. The idea was to design an interactive experience that reflected three main points from their Paint Smarter campaign: Buy Right, Use it Up and Recycle the Rest.
The three holes were installed just one day, Friday, August 25th, 2023 at the Minnesota State Fair in a tent located on Wright Avenue at the corner of Underwood Street. They were free to play as part of the promotion of PaintCare’s mission.
Rating
Obviously since we designed this mini golf experience, we’re a bit biased. But for a free, promotional event, we think these holes offered a fun way to learn about PaintCare’s mission. Each hole had a different theme and each hole had an opportunity for a hole-in-one. We watched some people play until they aced all three. PaintCare also handed out free swag like buttons and t-shirts. The best part? It was in the middle of the Minnesota State Fair so you’re surrounded by amazing food and entertainment options.
Pros
Fun designs that emphasize the PaintCare Mission
Free to play
Located at the MN State Fair
Cons
Was only available to play for a single day
