This is no April Fool’s joke! We played this course over 2 years ago and then I revisited it on a trip down to Texas with putting pals from Connecticut last year around the same time The Pink Putter reviewed the red course. As I review the yellow side today, I sit at home in Minnesota exhausted after shoveling from heavy snow that came down the previous night. Figured the cure would be looking at sunny skies and outdoor mini golf down in Texas.
Rating
The major changes since our review of the red course took place in the indoor facility. They expanded the facility to better accommodate hanging out, drinking, eating, and playing. After looking closely at some of the photos in early 2021, it appears the turf had been replaced recently. Additionally, the yellow stands at the start of each hole were definitely replaced by new markers that you can see in some of the photos below. They are tall metal cages filled with large rocks. Not sure if they were an improvement but the changes to the turf go a long way in making the course play much better. I like that the traditional red-bricking exterior walls were enhanced places by small spans of smoother concrete walls that one could use for angled shots. I quite liked the theming on the exteriors of the course and wished it was incorporated into the gameplay but overall, this course is a solid adventure golf course with clever placement of cups. I could see this being a good spot for a competitive event. A good place to gather with friends young and old for quite a variety of entertainment options.

Nerdy Notes
- 18 holes, no par
- Rubber covered putters
- No flags in holes
- Final hole collects ball
- $8 per round of mini golf and a variety of access passes that include mini golf
- Sometime between 2021 and 2022, Austin’s expanded their indoor facilities to include additional amenities and places to drink and eat. All of the amenities include roller coaster, food, bumper boats, go-karts, bowling, laser tag, an arcade, and outdoor carousel. I believe the XD theater, more indoor rides, expanded arcade, bar games (including pool and shuffleboard) and larger sports bar were added after our first visit.
- Lots of small and large group catering and packages
