Scottish Links at Centennial Lakes – Edina, MN

Played August 22nd, 2020

Reviewed by the Pink Putter

In the southern burbs of Edina, just outside of Minneapolis, is an 18-hole real grass putting course called Centennial Lakes. It’s part of a larger, city-owned park complete with a walking path, paddle boats and a 9-hole putting challenge course called the Scottish Links.

Description of the Scottish Links from the Centennial Lakes website:

With grassy knolls and tricky corners, the Scottish Links Putting course is bound to be a family favorite! Enjoy 9 holes on undulated greens that take about 45 minutes to get through. This is fun for the whole family as its easy enough for kids and challenging enough for experienced players to have some fun with! Located next to the lawn bowling area.

Review

The Scottish links is a well manicured but otherwise lackluster putting green. It’s great for practicing on real grass, but lacks the fun and unique qualities that makes for outstanding mini golf.
