MaltTees Mini Golf – Richfield, MN

Played countless times throughout the last many summers

Reviewed by the Pink Putter

MaltTees Mini Golf was formerly Adventure Gardens and then Malt-T-Melt. Located in Veterans Memorial Park in Richfield and managed by Wheel Fun Rentals, it is an outdoor mini golf course with a restaurant that specializes in malts and pizza. Since our super harsh original review back in 2012, the course has been renovated and greatly improved, so we thought it was time to re-review it under its new name. Stay tuned for a video of us playing this course with our friends at O-Street Mini Golf!

Rating

Par – New concrete, new turf, new (metal) cups, new wooden putting bridge obstacles and new signage are all part of the improvements that went into this course over the last couple of years. The crowned and wide-rimmed metal cups make for a challenging and sometimes frustrating second putts, however this course is no longer frustrating because of poor maintenance and upkeep. The course is tucked away under trees, so is well shaded for hot summer days. The central waterfall feature still stands, which adds to the ambiance. While the course still lacks the imagination that we seek in our top ratings, MaltTees has easily become one of our go-to mini golf stops throughout the summer of 2020.
