Aside from the two mini golf holes we have installed in our backyard, we have usually had to travel a bit to get our putt on. During The Pink Putter’s summer artist residency in Breckenridge, we had the opportunity to lodge one of the largest ski resorts in the area, Beaver Run. I played all of the nearby outdoor courses at Vail and Beaver Creek but through a stroke of good luck, we both had an additional option just a few floors from our room. To top it off, the course was open till late at night and was FREE! Even our pup, Ruggles, could check it out.
Rating
Par – Rarely do you expect an indoor mini golf course in a hotel. Sometimes you can find a small practice green intended for golfers. Not this hotel. Beaver Run had 6 holes themed around this large ski resort. Sure, they have short walls that allow for the balls to fly off the platforms easily but the clever use of ski/snowboarding gear, soft play sculptures, and large rocks provide some variety in this truncated course. During the snow-filled winter months, we appreciate having a place to putt and given it’s free, how can we complain?
Pros
Free!
Only indoor option in the area
