We finally took a day of rest after an epic binge of play over the first part of our vacation. Our travels brought us to the Pink Putter’s family in Maryland and we decided to seek out the local options for mini-golf. Pink Putter’s uncle recommended Putter Falls mini-golf so we decided to investigate. Putter Falls is part of a “golf center” that included a driving range, golf shop, batting cages and a food truck. The Pink Putter’s sister and her sister’s boyfriend joined us and this is the first course we have reviewed where our group was larger than two.
Rating
Par – In our interview with the Walker Art Center blog, we talked about not being fans of courses that try to mimic the “golf” experience. The design of this course was very much middle of the road. This doesn’t necessarily make it bad but it just ends up being a very average play. A safe comparison would be Action City in Eau Claire, WI. The course played well and was impeccably maintained. It wasn’t an overly easy course so I felt good about shooting under par for the course. Not much else to speak of and this is why I gave it a Par. Our group left satisfied after a solid round of mini-golf on a beautiful Summer day.
Pros
Well maintained greens
Solid course design

Lack of kitsch
