The Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) once again put out a call for proposals for an artist-designed mini golf course to open in May 2017. Of course we were ready to jump on board, thinking of fun ideas to fit the Natural World theme.
Bees. They have been in a steady decline over the past decade. As we thought about ideas for the course, we thought it’d be important and fun to bring attention to nature’s greatest pollinator through a giant bee hive with skilled game play.
Because of our commute from Minnesota, we were once again the very first artists to install on the course, but within just a few days To Bee or Not to Bee was joined by another array of incredibly designed and built holes from across the region.
