Uppsala BGK Indoor Minigolf – Uppsala, Sweden

During my first day in Sweden at Uppsala BGK, I made my way through all of the courses even though I was coming right off of an overnight flight. I know that all of the courses were much different than the styles I can play in the US and I had to play them all a few times. Doesn’t hurt that Uppsala charges a single-day fee to play everything. The early spring weather was a little chilly and windy at times so I opted to hop inside after playing one of the outdoor courses. One of the all-time minigolfers, Carl-Johan Ryner, helps manage the facility and was kind enough to show me around the club’s ball collection and sold me a few of the club’s European-style minigolf balls which were perfect for playing a few of the holes on the indoor course as you’ll see in the video below.

Rating

There are some courses where you have such an incredible experience that they are elevated to the top tier of our rating scale. The indoor adventure golf course at the Uppsala Bangolfklubb built by CityGolf is efficient, accessible, challenging, and fun. While you can see all 18 holes in a single glance, the whole course provides a solid variety of putting challenges. The smaller cups and subtle breaks require you to take close aim and follow through to land a good score. The cute obstacles, including a bridge that spans across two different holes, and shoot-throughs provide several fun paths to the cup for the ball. I thoroughly enjoyed the history of the competitive game of minigolf that was displayed both around the course and throughout the clubhouse. The trophies, kits, club balls, and photos were fun to explore. A cozy little course with great vibes that can be played all winter sounds idyllic right now as I look out the window at snow on the ground. Definitely don’t overlook this course when you visit this incredible miniature golf facility.
