In winter 2019, Mr. Tee and I made the trip down to South Florida to visit my family and check out some new-to-us mini golf courses, including some holiday pop-up courses in the area. The first pop-up we visited was Glow Fore It! Mini Golf at Sandi’s Surf Shack in downtown West Palm Beach. About a 25 minute drive south of WPB is a city called Delray Beach.
Every year, downtown Delray Beach, FL lights up a giant tree alongside holiday vendors and activities at Old School square, in the heart of downtown. One of those activities includes a free 9-hole pop-up mini golf course. And while the 2020 version of mini golf as part of the holiday activities is canceled, you can most likely expect it back in 2021. That being said, we’d like to point you to Holiday Mini Golf at Puttn’ Around, just around the corner in downtown Delray Beach, which is happening the entire month of December.
Aside from being set up next to a shed that reads “Santa” on the front, there is nothing very holiday-themed about the Old School Square pop-up course. The holes are small and no-frills, but are painted colorfully and utilized a lot of angle shots. Because there were so many kids running around, we didn’t bother playing ourselves. We figured a few photos would be sufficient to highlight this course.
