When we were out in the LA area this past April filming for Holey Moley, we made it a goal to play as much mini golf as possible. We did a little research on the LA area and discovered Glowzone in Woodland Hills. It was a warm day and indoor mini golf seemed like a good idea.

Birdie – This family fun center offers a wide array of activities including VR/AR, bumper cars, an arcade, a ropes course, a rock wall, a lazer maze, lazer tag, and of course, mini golf. Despite the annoyance of having to sign a waiver to enter the premise (yes, even just for a round of mini golf), the 18-hole course at Glowzone made for a fun 45 minutes of putting. The course is locally themed, accented by paintings of buildings and the Hollywood hills, dimensional sculpts of landmark buildings and bridges and stars, airplanes and a blimp hanging from the ceiling. Obstacles included angles, loops, a swinging log, a small hill and the clever use of rock climbing holds which fit the overall space and is something we have never seen done before. The occasional spinner was available to spice up game play. The music was blaring and the space was dark and cool, which was perfect for a hot California day. If you’re looking for a good family friendly, indoor option in the area, Glowzone is the place to go.
