It’s finally here! Four months after flying out to LA for a week to film, I’ll get to see myself on TV playing an otherworldly mini golf course. All of it is surreal. And yes, William Shatner will be making a guest cameo as a commentator on this week’s episode. This is added on top of the fact that the executive producer, Steph Curry, is my favorite current NBA player in the only other game I love as much as mini golf.

So, me, Captain Kirk, Steph, Riggle and 11 other amazing cast members/contestants/people will be on primetime broadcast television this Thursday night. It only made sense to share this moment with friends, family, and my community not far from where we live in Minneapolis. Oddly enough, the location of the watch party is in the same city where I saw Shatner on the big screen as a kid in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

I have many more musings on my experience headed your way this week and after the show airs but for now, I just wanted to open up the invitation to hang out and watch. – Tom
