Safari Golf in Tanzania

The almost 8 years the two of us have been together had been a wild adventure so it only made sense that we would travel halfway around the world for our honeymoon. In June/July 2019, we were fortunate to get to spend time traveling on safari in Tanzania across Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. The sights we saw from the close confines of our vehicle and sounds we heard outside of our tents at night were breathtaking. An array of majestic animals in their natural habitat is hard to describe so we obviously took ample photos to document this special experience.

In advance of our journey, we thought it would be fun to make a few do-it-yourself mini golf holes on this trip so we had the tour operator track down a putter for us. As we learned about the behaviors of the animals from our guide, Fulgence, it seemed possible to snap a few photos along the way with animals at a safe distance. We did not hit the ball. No animals were harmed and we did our best to not disturb the places these critters call home. So join us, on a mini golf safari in Tanzania.

Our guide Fulgence was a wonderful ambassador to his beautiful country
Yes! That is a hippo in the distance and Mr. Tee was ready to move back into the vehicle fast. Hippos stay in the water all day for the most part.

Tembo is the Swahili word for elephant. Slow-moving and breathtakingly beautiful.
We did NOT hit the ball off this tortoise shell and only posed the ball quickly.
This water buffalo skull was one we found in a picnic area and inspired a new hole idea?
Does it get old seeing large packs of Zebras for days on end? No!
The Swahili word for the giraffe is twiga. The Pink Putter got on board for a shot with the tall and beautiful giraffes prancing in the background.
