Only a day after getting to play an official Putt-Putt course, we landed at another North Carolina establishment featuring the classic orange rails and green felt turf. Initially, I could not surmise whether or not this course was originally a Putt-Putt franchisee but given the easily identifiable style and standard Par 2 designation, it seemed like there is a deeper history to these courses. Fortunately, The Pink Putter stumbled upon a brilliant resource that confirmed this was a Putt-Putt Golf & Games in the 90s.
Rating
Birdie – The theming and journey across bridges, through caves, and passing by large jungle scenes is a step up from the tried and true flat standard Putt-Putt Fun Center style courses. The overall complex falls short of our highest tier of Hole-in-One due to purely cosmetic reasons. The debris on the course from nearby trees could have been forgivable if it wasn’t for the general condition of the obstacles, turf, and surroundings. A fresh coat of paint, replacement of obstacles, and a maintenance plan could elevate this excellent course to yet another level.
