Our Summer Colorado road trip took us west of Denver to Breckenridge. While The Pink Putter and her art installation collaborators won the hearts in town, I snuck out further west to partake in more mountain resort mini golf. Beaver Creek was first on the docket for the day. I ventured out to the village not knowing the exact location of the course. After driving through a checkpoint to the resort town and parking in the garage near Gerald Ford Hall at the base of the mountain, I landed upon the 18 hole course next to the Centennial Express chairlift. Perfect weather and snow-capped peaks in the distance.
Rating
Par – The setting and location in the mountains make for a lovely background. The course smartly incorporates the natural slant of the mountain and throws in a few breaks to add to the putting challenge. A red brick wall surrounds green turf that offers only a handful of natural rock based obstacles. It fits the surroundings well. Overall, it is a solid and straightforward course. As far as miniature golf goes in the Colorado resort areas, Beaver Creek Summer Adventure Center Mini Golf is the best option we found on our trip.
Beaver Creek Mini Golf Website
Pros
Idyllic mountain views
Well-maintained turf and surrounding landscaping
Solid hole placement
Cons
Out of the way unless you’re planning on going to the resort
Price is higher than more run of the mill courses
Nerdy Note
- 18 Holes, Par not included
- $15 per round. All players must sign a waiver before playing.
- Other activities including a climbing wall, bungee trampoline, gem panning, and a ropes course
- In the 6 years we’ve been reviewing courses, this is the first time I’ve encountered a signed waiver requirement for miniature golf.
- If you need another point of reference to find the mini golf course, search for the Beaver Creek Chophouse in Beaver Creek Village. You can find the 18 holes adjacent to the Centennial Express Lift #6 on Google Maps as well.
