Drive By – Last fall, myself and the rest of the RADAR Art crew (Anna and Desiree) were presenting the Barter Boat as part of Art on the Beltline in Atlanta. We were stationed for the weekend in the Historic Fourth Ward Park. A rainy day ended the project early and we had a little free time to explore the area. We headed over to Ponce City Market to grab a bite to eat and I quickly realized that we were in the same building as the notorious Skyline Park which I knew had mini golf.
Wanting to check it out, I persuaded Anna and Desiree to join me on the Roof. Unfortunately, the cost to even just take the elevator up to the roof was $10/person and it would have been another $10/each to play mini golf. $60 for three of us to play mini golf was completely ridiculous, so I opted to just take some photos.
Skyline Park is a clever attraction. It’s a rooftop turned mini carnival with well-curated signs, games activities, and bars. It’s definitely a scene and a cool hangout with a lovely view of the city, however, the mini golf to me appears to be just average. If you want a full entertainment experience, maybe the price of admission would be worth it, but if you want a great game of mini golf, this probably isn’t the place to go. I do however recommend grabbing a bite to eat at many of the delicious restaurants downstairs.
