Eagle Lake Youth Golf Center Mini Golf – Plymouth, MN

Played on October 8, 2016

Reviewed by the Pink Putter

Mr. Tee had heard about another mini golf course in the Twin-Cities suburbs, so on a sunny fall day we ventured out to find it. Located in Eagle Lake Regional Park (part of the Three Rivers Park District), the Youth Golf Center offers 18 hole mini golf, 9-hole, par–31 Eagle Course; a 9-hole, lighted, par–27 pitch-and-putt Birdie Course; a 40–station, lighted, natural-turf practice range; and practice/lesson areas. The visitor center doubles as the clubhouse and features a meeting room, cart and club rental, lockers, concessions, and computerized golf handicapping.

Rating

This mini golf course is a typical golf-like mini golf experience. Clean and well-maintained greens are surrounded by natural water features, prairie grass, rocks and other regional landscaping features. It’s a great place to practice your putt over varied terrain and through simple obstacles like giant rocks. Minimal shading left us warm on an unseasonably hot fall day.
